Exhibition of Road Safety Innovation

An exhibition of the latest life-saving research

Around the world, 1.3 million people die in road accidents every year - and the number is growing. To stop the trend and to reduce these deaths by 2020, the United Nations have launched the Decade of Action for Road Safety. Research institutions, NGOs, public administrations, development organisations and private sector firms all have joined the campaign to help make this ambitious goal a reality.

The International Transport Forum offers these institutions and companies a unique opportunity to showcase how they work to save lives. If you are engaged in the development of innovative practices, technologies or policies that will make the world’s roads safer, we invite you to present your work at a special exhibition on "Road Safety Innovation" to a global audience of ministers, government officials, business leaders and international media at the Summit. Your ideas on how to make the world’s roads safer should be part of this exhibition

Who can exhibit?

Technological suppliers, manufacturers, international organisations, research laboratories, foundations, universities or other actors working in the field of road safety and coming from one of the International Transport Forum’s 54 member countries (see list at end of this page) are invited to participate.

How to apply?

Please download and complete the application form describing the key aspects of the work you would like to present (technological, psychological, sociological, political, economical, statistical, etc.). If relevant, the connection to the 2013 Summit theme on “Funding Transport” should be highlighted (e.g. innovative ways of financing specific road safety actions).

Exhibition Booths

Exhibitors will be provided with a large flat screen monitor, 2 free-standing display panels that can each hold a poster of up to 1.00 m x 0.80 m and an electricity supply for computers and other equipment along with a table and chairs. A contribution of EUR 1 100 will be charged for each exhibit to offset costs. Exhibitors will need to register on line at the reduced rate for researchers. Travel and accommodation costs have to be borne by exhibitors.
