“The Impact of transport infrastructure on the international competitiveness of Europe “ or I-C-EU, is a European Commission FP7 project that clarifies the relationship between transport infrastructure investments on economic growth and competitiveness, by exploring the state-of-the-art of methodology and assessment tools e.g. modeling framework and decision tools, for public and private investments in transport infrastructure. I-C-EU project explores and further develops the methodology and proposes a modified framework for policy intervention. The practical use of this framework will be tested on a representative set of transport projects.
I-C-EU will then provide recommendations to the European Commission on making political intervention in order to enhance the international competitiveness of Europe as well as between its countries and regions.

Transport & Mobility Leuven, Belgium is the coordinator of this 2 year project.
